I am declaring that I am done, and about 15 hours earlier. All that is really left is compiling everything, but it is all ready to go. My printer is failing me so hopefully I have enough money for the on campus printers. After this project I have only decided that I am a big procrastinator, but can get stuff done. I am pleased with my project, and will be releived to drop it off tomorrow.
This probably ends my blogging career because as it turns out I am not that into it, but I can at least say I tried.
Peace,
Sarah

Great Success
In the final scramble of the semester, as well as the final scramble of my term paper things are coming together. I am really pleased with where this paper is going/gone. Honestly just looking at Patagonia probably could have supplied enough information, but I am really interested to compare it to greenpeace. I really just have to re-examine the greenpeace analysis because I went on an awful tangent, and re-writing seems like the easiest solution. Me and this paper will be come one. Now I just have to gether everything in my portfolio. I don't even know what goes in this darn portfolio.

Interesting presentor
In my public policy and analysis class yesterday we had these 2 people come in and talk about their company BCS. From what I gathered they provide planning for environmental companies, and security problems. This is interesting and helpful to my paper because they brought up eco products which is based in boulder, whic I may also want to look at.

Blogging...not for me
I am terrible at this, but I figure I should make a pitiful attempt at blogging. The semester is winding down, and it is time to compile. I need to devote myself to this project and just dive in. I have some writing done, and it is almost turning into a sarcastic analysis, not sure how I feel about this. Ultimately I will be ready to retire this subject, even though I am enjoying it. The finish of this will mark the ending of my writing career, I want to go out with a bang.

Updatetizzle
My project now has found some inspiration. I want to look at greenpeace, patagonia, and maybe green religion, and see how they have been influenced by technology. These are all "green", but I want to look at how their campaigns have altered in the face of the green movement. In my reading Pickerill argued that technology has sustained the green movement, but not built it. I somewhat disagree with this statment because I think that CMC has had a lot to do with buildin ghtis fad-like movement. SO I need to get going because I have about 3 weeks to get this thing done.

Abandonment
In my efforts to be excited in a new area of thought (linguistics) I found myself at a dead end. So with this, and a post conference blues I have decided for a complete abandonment of my previous topic. Now I have a new source of inspiration, something that excites me too. I am going to look into some sort of environmental issue that is impacted by technology. Just hopping around the internet I found an interesting article on these new social mediums encouraging a green movement. The green movement takes on the internet. Sounds interesting to me!
Now this topic is still in it's infancy stage, but it feels more appropriate. We will see where this takes me.

Reasearch: Day One
I got through an entire book of research today. I think that focusing my work on the degradation of language which may or may be from technology. For the fun of it I may try and argue that it has nothing to do with the degradation. I just have to figure out how I am going to shape my argument, which at this point seems to be the most challenging piece.

Purpose
The purpose of this blog is really to serve as a tool of communication for my writing class, composition of civic life. That title itself begs questions, but this class mainly focuses on the influence of technology. The class discussions end up mainly becoming a sociological debate silently in my mind. I still to this day cannot grasp why someone would want a second life, but anyways we are supposed to explore an area for a term paper. I have decided to look at technology's influence on language. This may be biting too much off because I have zero background in linguistics, but we will see. After some research I may choose to completely abandon this topic and go into a more comfortable area like the environmental impact of technology. But for now I will stand up to this wandering abiss.

Does this work?
This is my first attempt at this so called "blog" thing. Initially I have rejected all forms of technology, but under the pressures of my educational success I am now blogging. Consider this my own personal welcome to the digital age....
